As the Director of Trading at amana, Omar Maatouk is at the helm of our dealing desk and day-to-day trading operations. He ensures that all our customers’ trades are executed fast and in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. Moreover, he oversees all the related systems, such as MT4/MT5 and APIs, and optimizes all trading activities’ profitability.

As amana is a market-maker and our financial exposure is relatively high, Omar is responsible for our risk management framework. He ensures that proper trading processes are in place and losses are kept under control, maintaining a good risk/reward ratio. He also oversees the hedging strategy and counterparty management.

Omar has been with the company for over a decade. Before joining the amana fam, he held several leading roles, such as Chief Dealer at Orion Global Financial Services. In total, he has amassed 18 years of experience in financial brokerage services.

In his private life, he is a family man who enjoys quality time with his loved ones. He is also an avid basketball fan and has played professionally in the Syrian Basketball League.
